Street turn

Reusing an import container as an export empty without returning it to the terminal first — the box goes straight from an import unload to an export load. When the carrier allows it, a street turn saves a trip, cuts per-diem, and reduces terminal traffic. It needs the carrier’s approval and a matching export booking, so it’s an opportunity to ask about, not a given.
