A delivery where the driver stays while the container is unloaded (or loaded) and takes it away the same visit. It avoids holding the box and chassis, but the driver is waiting — so it comes with free time (typically a couple of hours) after which driver detention accrues. Live unload works when you can turn the container fast; if you can’t, drop-and-hook is usually cheaper.
