The Dangerous Goods Regulations published annually by IATA — the working standard for shipping DG by air, built on the ICAO Technical Instructions. It defines what may fly, in what quantity and packaging, and how it must be declared. Air rules are tighter than sea, especially for lithium batteries, so a shipment acceptable by ocean under the IMDG Code may not be acceptable by air.
