Dangerous goods declaration (DGD)

The document in which the shipper formally declares dangerous goods and certifies they are correctly classified, packed, marked and labelled for transport. Air calls it the Shipper’s Declaration (IATA); sea, the Dangerous Goods Note. It must agree exactly with the safety data sheet, the package marks and the commercial documents — one mismatch (a wrong UN number, a missing packing instruction) is enough to hold the whole shipment.
