Out-of-gauge (OOG)

Cargo that doesn’t fit within the internal dimensions of a standard container — too tall, too wide or too long, so it overhangs or sits above the container walls. OOG freight ships on flat racks or open tops (or as breakbulk) and is priced for the space it blocks around itself, not just the space it occupies. Declaring accurate over-dimensions early is what lets the carrier plan stowage and quote correctly.
