Glossary / Dangerous goods

Limited quantity (LQ)

Also: LQ · limited quantity

A relief that lets small inner-packaging amounts of certain dangerous goods ship under reduced requirements — a distinctive LQ mark instead of full labels and, often, no dangerous-goods declaration. It cuts cost and complexity for products that qualify, but the per-package limits are specific and enforced. Excepted quantities are an even smaller tier with further relief.
