Incoterms

A set of standard three-letter trade terms published by the ICC that define, for a sale, exactly where the seller’s responsibility ends and the buyer’s begins — who arranges carriage, who pays which leg, and where risk of loss transfers. Choosing the right Incoterm (EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP and the rest) decides who controls the freight and who is exposed if something goes wrong in transit.
