The rules for keeping incompatible dangerous goods apart in transport so they can’t react if they leak or ignite — governing how far apart packages must be, and whether they can share a container or hold at all. Under the IMDG Code, segregation is set by a table of class-against-class relationships. Ignoring it is both unsafe and grounds for a carrier to refuse or offload the freight.
